A rustic set of two bells handmade from recycled iron sheeting. Each bell is finished with a soft bow made from recycled sari silk in a light antique cream colourway.
The sari silk ribbon is handcrafted by a women’s cooperative in India, where discarded sari fabric is collected, cleaned, and repurposed into usable trims and textiles. These cooperatives provide women, often in rural or low-income communities, with reliable, fair-paid work close to home. Many of the women involved are supporting families, gaining financial independence, and preserving traditional textile skills through this work.
Each ribbon is cut and tied by hand, and small variations in colour, texture, or fraying are part of the fabric’s story.
With working strikers, the bells produce a delicate, tinkling sound when moved. Hang them from door handles, seasonal branches, or peg rails as part of your autumn or winter decor.
