Step back in time with our curated seasonal greeting card sets

Introducing our nostalgic Christmas cards featuring antique artworks from the 18th and 19th centuries

My love for Christmas reaches back to the roots of my childhood, as I imagine yours does, too. Even now, when I’m woken in the quiet hours by one of our dogs needing to go out, something in the stillness - that soft, familiar darkness - evokes Christmas morning. In that moment, I’m a child once more, awake before dawn, heart quickening with wonder at the magic that awaits. I can almost feel the joy of tiptoeing to my parents’ room, my siblings close behind, ready to rush downstairs and see if Father Christmas had filled our stockings.

In my home, as in the house where I grew up, Christmas lives through its many traditions - the scent of pine and hardy foliage, festive gatherings, the joy of giving, and bringing out familiar tree decorations. Over time, my love for Christmas intertwined with another lifelong passion: antique art. I wanted to bring the two together - not only to offer something a little more unique and thoughtful for loved ones, but also to capture the spirit of the season through classical art.

From that idea, my Nostalgic Christmas Card Sets were born. Each curated set includes five identical prints of an antique painting or botanical sketch from the 18th or 19th century, carefully chosen and edited in-house, making them just the right fit for a very special seasonal greeting card.

In an age now dominated by digital communication, there's something incredibly special and somewhat old-fashioned about handwriting a sentiment and sending a physical Christmas card. It's a gesture that speaks volumes, a personal connection that allows you to share the joy of the season with loved ones. Our Nostalgic Christmas Cards are more than just greetings - they are beautiful works of art that capture the essence of Christmas’s past.

Cards made to be kept

Liiving Rooms is founded on the idea that what you keep reflects the story of your life - possessions you’ve chosen with care and consideration to last across time. The same can be said of our Christmas cards, which are not just for sending - they’re also beautiful enough to frame, making them a wonderful piece for your seasonal home. Keep one for yourself, display it in a suitable frame, and encourage your recipient to do the same.
